According to my research, you are correct in that you need both M10 and M12 fasteners. However, I don't have the exact length that you need. With that being said, so long as they go all the way through the weld nuts in the frame that won't really matter. I don't think 50mm is overkill so this is what I would try first.

The reason for this is because the weight of the trailer is more than half of your tow vehicle's weight which is the rule for weight distribution.
